W O R D S

The interpretation of words when placed with tempo – a beat – a rhythm…it’s what has kept me alive over and over again. The way it is done makes the words stick in my brain – sometimes even my soul. Music that accompanies all these words – it’s the soft cloud of safety and rightness in my world – because I can choose what I consume in this way – I can choose if I want comfort or peace or rage or clarity or anything else.

I may not write the words or create the songs they are in – but I have the option to allow them to have power and for this I am grateful.

Lyrics have been the constant healer, comforter, sounding board, challenger and space for my brain to be in complete silence across many years.

Without them, I wouldn’t be me. In fact, I simply would not be.
